Position Summary
Evocative is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator, Mission Critical, to support mission-critical construction and infrastructure projects. This role partners with construction leadership on documentation, scheduling, contractor coordination, procurement coordination, cost reporting, and field execution from project kickoff through turnover and closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate data center construction projects, including expansions, fit-outs, infrastructure upgrades, and other improvement work.
Maintain project records, including meeting minutes, action logs, submittals, RFIs, change orders, drawing logs, turnover documents, and closeout files.
Track schedules, milestones, deliverables, costs, risks, and open items
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors on scope, deliverables, and timing
Support procurement and material coordination
Support cost reporting and budget tracking, including committed costs, invoices, and change documentation
Maintain file organization and document consistency in alignment with internal workflows.
Serve as a secondary point of contact for day-to-day project communication across internal and external stakeholders.
Support field activities, site readiness, and project follow-up
Assist with project management tools, systems, and reporting processes
Support turnover and closeout, including punch tracking, document completion, and handoff to operations
Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction coordination, project coordination, project support, or project controls, preferably in data center, mission-critical, MEP, industrial, or commercial construction environments
Experience with construction documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting notes, logs, and closeout materials
General knowledge of AIA contracts
Familiarity with schedule tracking, contractor coordination, procurement tracking, and budget support
Familiarity with project estimation on projects exceeding $1 million
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and project or construction tools such as Procore, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
Procore proficiency in project management and financials; certification is preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple active projects while maintaining a high level of detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Data center or mission-critical construction exposure is preferred, but deep hyperscale experience is not required.
Preferred Background
Experience supporting owner-side, GC-side, or contractor-side construction teams
Comfort working in environments where cost visibility, execution discipline, and process consistency are important
Ability to grow into broader project responsibility
Location: Remote (Central or Eastern United States preferred)
Travel: Up to 25%
Compensation
Compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
